Contracts
Bonsai provides a library of professional, lawyer-vetted contract templates. You can customise them for each client and get them signed electronically — no back-and-forth with PDFs. Every contract is legally binding and stored in your account so you can reference them at any time.
Invoices
Creating and sending invoices with Bonsai is fast. You can set up recurring invoices for retainer clients, send automatic payment reminders, and accept payments via card, ACH, or PayPal directly through the invoice. It takes the awkwardness out of chasing late payments.
Time Tracking
If you bill by the hour, Bonsai’s time tracker integrates directly with your projects and invoices. Start a timer against a project, and the hours are automatically pulled into your next invoice. You can also add time manually if you prefer.
Accounting & Taxes
Bonsai tracks income and expenses and generates profit/loss reports. If you’re in the US, the tax estimation feature gives you a running tally of what you owe each quarter so you’re not caught short. It’s not a full accounting replacement, but for a solo operator it covers most of what you need.
